FAQ

What is Tamarind?

Tamarind Trees grow  in hot countries around the equator, and are common in Thai and Indian and Mexican cooking. They are a large tree with a woody lumpy pod that contains a brown fruit, which in some places is called an "Indian Date", Imli or Tamarindo. The flavour of tamarind can be described as a cross between a date and lime. Weirdly delicious. And luckily it tastes much better than the fruit looks!
